A modular ERP, scaled to how you manufacture
DELMIAWorks covers the full run of a manufacturing business, sales through to shipping and accounts, with a modular, single-database architecture that lets you switch on more capability as you grow, without adding new systems.
Product
Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Real-time shop floor data collection, process monitoring, preventative maintenance and production reporting: the foundation of the system.
Scheduling & MRP
Advanced planning and scheduling, capacity, labour and material requirements planning, forecasting, and master production scheduling in one connected view.
Inventory & warehouse management
Lot tracking, traceability, Kanban and vendor-managed inventory support, built around lean manufacturing principles.
Quality & compliance
Document control, statistical process control (SPC), non-conformance and audit tracking, and full manufacturing traceability.
Sales, CRM & quoting
Contact and opportunity management alongside quoting and order entry, tracked against the customer and vendor records.
Financial management
Full financial control integrated directly with ERP and manufacturing activity, so job costs and margins update as production happens.
Shop floor control & labelling
Work order management, job shop and tooling/die/mould project tracking, plus barcode and label automation for shipping and inventory.
Multi-plant & web portals
Manage multiple facilities, companies and languages from a single system, with supplier, customer and employee web portal access.
Real-time control of the shop floor
DELMIAWorks' MES is configurable to your requirements, covering preventative maintenance, process monitoring, SPC (Statistical Process Control), quality, document control and lot traceability. It shares data seamlessly with the ERP, whether you operate from a single facility or across multiple sites.
Core MES capabilities
Process & production monitoring
State-of-the-art tools track and analyse process data parameters, alongside direct shop floor machine data collection.
Real-time control charts
Data can be entered manually or captured automatically from connected equipment, with live charts and analysis to monitor process performance, identify variation and measure how consistently production meets required specifications.
Preventative maintenance
Scheduled maintenance plans reduce unplanned downtime and keep equipment performing to specification.
Quality & document control
A comprehensive suite of quality modules covers document control, inspections, non-conformance and compliance recordkeeping.
Traceability, tracking & genealogy
Production traceability follows materials and components through the full manufacturing process, supporting recalls and audits.
Business activity monitoring
Exception and notification functionality (via our IQAlerts) flags mission-critical issues and turns them into advisories and actions.
Two-way ERP data sharing
Whether you run one facility or several globally, DELMIAWorks' data-sharing tools pass shop floor information back and forth with the ERP automatically.
Configurable to your process
Low-code configurability supports nearly every style of manufacturing, with over 40 standard connection points into ERP systems.
From engineering BOM to manufacturing BOM, without re-keying
For companies already designing in SOLIDWORKS, DMO Solutions can connect that CAD environment directly to DELMIAWorks, so the bill of materials your engineers build never has to be manually re-entered on the shop floor.
Why this matters
A SOLIDWORKS bill of materials and a DELMIAWorks bill of materials aren't the same thing. SOLIDWORKS captures the engineering view: item numbers, part numbers, quantities, dimensions and materials. DELMIAWorks needs the manufacturing view on top of that: work centres, labour, tooling, dies, fixtures, scrap rates, setup times and yield. Historically, turning one into the other has meant manual re-entry, and every engineering change means doing it again.
Design in SOLIDWORKS
Parts and assemblies are modelled as usual, generating the engineering bill of materials (eBOM) from the CAD structure.
Bridge the eBOM into DELMIAWorks
A DELMIAWorks menu inside SOLIDWORKS, or a SOLIDWORKS PDM-to-DELMIAWorks connector, links drawings and documents straight to DELMIAWorks records, so both systems reference the same release of a part.
Generate the manufacturing BOM (mBOM)
The eBOM becomes the basis for the DELMIAWorks bill of manufacture, adding work centres, labour, tooling and process detail specific to how the part is actually produced.
Run production from a single source of truth
DELMIAWorks allocates materials and manages production against the connected BOM, with its built-in MES capturing real-world results: materials consumed, labour used, cycle times.
Feed shop floor results back to design
Real shop floor data highlights where a design caused rework, delay or waste, so engineering can adjust the model before the next production run.
What it removes
Manual BOM re-entry
New parts and engineering changes flow through without being retyped into the ERP by hand.
Out-of-date drawings on the floor
Linked documents and drawings stay tied to the correct release, removing the walk to engineering for the latest version.
Disconnected change control
An engineering change ripples through to the connected BOM and documentation, rather than being tracked separately in two places.
